This past weekend I was in Wisconsin once again trying to hike, but the threatening weather kept us from venturing out into the wilderness too far. So instead, we went to Baraboo to visit the International Crane Foundation. They have cranes that they hope to reintroduce to the wild, but people don't really get to see them so the cranes don't imprint on people. But they have pairs of a variety of cranes that we got to see, and visitor birds, too.

Hi dw! Mom was going to go to the crane place last week! She went there a couple years ago and loved it. The day she went it was really hot and her peeps got a little overheated and Mom has wanted to go back ever since.
It looks like you had a great day visiting with the cranes. They are so cool!

Oh wow! Which park in Wisconsin were you at? The scenery was beautiful! We had a great time at Governor Dodge, but I really hope it cools off enough here for us to be able to hike more locally, like Starved Rock and Mathiessen!
Pawesome!
